Switching genres from the academic paper to the podcast has allowed me to think about the subject of my paper in a different way because I have never actually had to do this before. It has really helped me to see how the wording of your paper actually matters. I never used to really be that worried about the wording of my paper and how it sounded aurally until this project. Switching the genres allowed me to use language differently because trying to adjust your paper and make is suitable for listening was hard. It was a struggle to figure out, at first how I was supposed to reword my whole paper to make it sound correct to be read out loud.
